Digitron sound system, pioneer dub sound outta Croatia, balkan dub defenders! Since 2007 based on members of 2 live dub bands( radikal dub kolektiv and bamwise), pilled up and led with intention of making first Croatian sound system, in country where there was no culture of its kind. Musicwise closest to uk sound of digital dub with influences of different musical directions, from electronic music, to more organic. Usual suspects on croatian and european underground scene, from festivals, clubs, autonomous zones etc…
Digitron runs many nights in croatain biggest and only alternative cultural centre, former squat called Medika. With monthly program and also holding many dub stages on different festivals (modem, lost theory, seasplash etc…) Apart from being active as an act that had performed all across europe on some of leading festivals and club nights( fusion, reggae bus, hadra, lusine etc…) digitron also has a label called Digitron Records.

[…] Radio Torre nasce con l’intento di riportare l’emozione come sentimento primario nella yard. Non la tecnica, ma la parola. La musica come strumento di comunità e la consolle come scintilla di riflessione. Quello che ci ha spinto sin dall’inizio è la libertà, cioè la voglia di essere liber* da regole e autoimposizioni anche nel modo di vivere il ballo, il divertimento, il piacere. Da qui la consapevolezza che il motto “ballare e pensare” fosse qualcosa di possibile e necessario. In un mondo in cui razzismo, sessismo, omofobia, fascismo, repressione sembrano essere derive sempre meno definite e sempre più diffuse in modo strisciante nella società, la musica, la nostra musica, il reggae, ci ha dato una possibilità di essere ribell*.[…]

Il progetto Wise Sound è anch’esso figlio della passione per la ReggaeDub music e la Sound System culture. Nasce inizialmente per affiancare la formazione dei Sound Floaters nelle loro esibizioni live ma presto comincia le sue sessioni senza la band che nel 2010 si scioglie. Cominciando dai remix delle produzioni Sound Floaters, i Wise Sound prendono forma e stile, e nel 2010 esce la loro prima pubblicazione – “Roots in yuh life” in collaborazione con i Lab Frequency nella compilation francese Step-4I- O.D.G. prod. – gli da lo slancio per continuare nelle produzioni.

Nel 2016 pubblicano la loro prima release in 7” Work in Town con Rankin Delgado, seguita dal loro secondo 7” See the sun ft Dan I locks & Rankin Delgado. Nel 2018 pubblicano la loro terza release in 7” “Clouds” ft Rankin Delgado. Le releases Wise Sound si possono trovare in tutti i migliori Vinyls shop in tutto il mondo. I Wise Sound in formazione completa sono WiSam (dub master/operator), Don D (selector), Vicè “Wise Horns” (fiati). Nel 2010, a seguito della scomparsa di un fratello e nel suo ricordo, danno vita al the one&only Sicilian Dub Festival, il Manuel Dub# giunto alla sua 9^a edizione. Negli anni hanno condiviso la yard con i più grandi nomi della scena dub internazionale come Jah Shaka, Mad Professor, Aba Shanti I, Vibronics, Iration Steppas, Channel One, OBF, Stand High Patrol, Kenny Knots, Imperial Sound Army, Alpha & Omega, Alpha Steppa. and many more…

Producer e dub master per la sua label Dub-O-Matic. Il suo sound è caratterizzato da sonorità elettroniche mescolate alle radici del Reggae, che si fondono con ritmiche sintetiche per dar vita ad un proprio stile. Dal 2012 ha prodotto tre singoli in vinile, collaborato con artisti come Ras Mykha e LucaDread. Si è esibito con artisti internazionali del calibro di Danny Red, Macka B, Jonah Dan, Alpha Steppa, Panda Dub, Weeding Dub e Dub Judah. Selecta e operator dell’ I-tal Skank Sound System. His sound is characterized by electronic sounds mixed with the roots of Reggae, that blend with synthetic rhythms to give life to their own style. Dub Harp (real name Pasquale Lamberti) is an eclectic artist and plays various instruments. He represents a musical journey that started in the muddy yet fertile waters of the Mississippi Delta to wind up at Jamaican yard music and the dance floors of modern European sound systems. Dub Harp’s musical travels dug its roots in the blues music of the American cotton plantations and, passing through the Jamaican sugar fields, arrived at the present-day UK post industrial sound. Dub Harp is a musical melting pot of blues, roots reggae, dub and dub steppa, which mixes past, present and future projections of black music in terms of both rhythm and beat. Pasquale Lamberti, aka Dub Harp, started his musical career as a guitarist, harmonica player and lover of blues music. His love of blues and black music in general led him to breach the borders of this genre and arrive at roots reggae and dub. This evolution was solidified in a brief experience as guitarist in the Neapolitan backing band Roots Defender Band, who see him as co-writer of one of the band’s releases for the Bababoom Hi-Fi (RUMORS) sound system. . After this, he concentrated on experimenting with the blues sound, in particular that of the harmonica, in the modern musical contexts of UK digital dub and French dub and became Dub Harp. This has resulted in powerful sessions and collaborations with some of the top artists in both the national and international scene.
More recently, a fusion of various musicians in the Campanian scene see Dub Harp as among the founding members of the musical project Magma Dub with the release of an EP on the Rupa Rupa and Bass Pirates labels. A 12” will come out of this EP and the Campanian band will work alongside the Jamaican artist Danny Red.

Astarbene – The Reggae Radio Show
Astarbene. com è un portale dedicato al Reggae e alle sue derivazioni, nato dall’idea di rompere le barriere tra il pubblico e l’artista e da un collettivo di giovani “impennati” che non sanno stare fermi, zitti e con le mani in mano; #ASTARBENE si propone come punto di riferimento per la massive romana, facendosi portavoce del Reggae a 360 gradi. Nel 2015 nasce il progetto e il programma radiofonico “Astarbene The Reggae Radio Show” che dopo tanto vagare arriva in streaming su un proprio sito (www.astarbene.com). Qui l’idea di una radio reggae si allarga e il palinsesto si anima di nuovi format tra cui “Grazia, Graziella e Grazie al Dub” per offrire al pubblico 24 ore no stop di musica e informazione arricchiti di registrazioni di live e #Mixtape.
All’interno del collettivo è forte la presenza di dj e mc: Sealow, Maasa B, Compa, Maka, Joel, Ientu e Sperla. Ognuno con la sua attitude e con il suo stile ha animato diverse yard tra cui: El Chiringuito Libre, Intifada, Spin Time Labs, Csoa La Torre, 360°, Locanda Atlantide, Villaggio Globale, Seedo Social Place, Csoa La Strada, Rising Love, Città dell’Altra Economia, Zoobar, Brancaleone, Largo Venue, Caffè Forte Braccio, 110 e tante altre.
Ma #ASTARBENE è tanto altro: è un occhio dietro la macchina fotografica, un microfono che raccoglie interviste nei backstage, una videocamera che immortala concerti live, un’organizzazione sempre attenta al prossimo passo e una crew unita e innamorata del Reggae.
Dall’estate 2016 il giovane collettivo si trasforma in #Reggae #Reporters e zaino in spalla e microfono alla mano comincia a girare per festival: il Bababoom Festival (Fermo, Italia), l’Overjam Iternational Reggae Festival (Tolmin, Slovenia), il Dubstone Festival (Salerno, Italia) e il Manuel Dub Festival (Trapani, Italia). Qui ha la possibilità di diventare quello che si era sempre proposto di essere: un nuovo sguardo alla musica Reggae, dove accanto alla musica c’è l’importanza di conoscere gli artisti e di farli conoscere ai massicci. Così davanti alla telecamere di #ASTARBENE si raccolgono le storie e le idee di: Raina from Villa Ada Crew, Tain To Roots, Freddie McGregor, Chino e Stephen Di Genius, Luciano The Messenjah, Richie Stephens, Rankin Lele & Papa Leu, Mellow Mood, Paolo Baldini, Forelock&Arawak, Jah9, Micah Shemaiah, Tarrus Riley, Alborosie, Gentleman, Catch a Fyah, Kabaka Pyramid, Cali P, Earth Beat Movement, Virtus, Dub fx e Mad Professor.
Nell’estate del 2017 Astarbene.com si lega alla realtà del Bababoom Festival di Marina Palmense, diventando la radio del festival e per tutta la sesta edizione è in diretta dalla Beach Yard del festival marchigiano.
